Kremer History

John’s advertisements claimed he made Jigs for just about fish known. Kremer made all types of Jigs and sold them under the trade name No-Alibi Lures. Below are The “No-Alibi No. 4 and No. 6 Pee Wee Jig. The packaging reads “For Fly, Spinning or Long Cane Pole”. Best for Bass, Trout , Perch, Crappie, Blue Runners, Bream, Google Eye, Moon Fish and Others. 3 for $3.00. Made By John C. Kremer .

George Beckwith owner of John C. Kremer Company was contracted to paint lures for Pat Woodall. Pat Woodall in 1955 had a deal with Jim Pfeffer to make the plastic banana lures. and in 1956 the Top, Shinner Dilly and Banana made of wood were addedto Geroge’s list of baits to paint for Woodall.

There were also 37 Wooden baits called Super Shiner . Cisco Kid Manufacturing Inc. Made these lures out of plastic. Truly a wonderful bait to find.
