Griner Lures

Joel Chandler Griner – Griner Lures – Born May 11, 1922

Griner History

H.O. Price was to teach Joel the basic art of lure making and later suggested he work with Jim Pfeffer for a time to perfect the art. Joel reproduced baits and never produced lures that were of his own design.

The first packages for Griner were similar to Jim Pfeffers envelopes. Next came plastic bags with labels stapled and were black and white in color. Lastly, labels were green and white. Joel Griner passed away on August 29, 1990.
