Billy grew up in this little town south of Tampa near Arcadia and after high school worked for the telephone company for 25 years. The Peace River is much like the Little Manatee River, running out to the Gulf of Mexico and like the Little Manatee which I have fished many times you never know what you will catch being the water is brackish. Brackish water is half salt and half fresh. I have caught both Snook and Bass in the same water.
Billy Daniels lived near the Peace River and fished it all of his life where sometime in the mid 1980’s was making his own lures because all his favorite lures were no longer available. The two tall pictures are of a brochure he had made up for his lures.
Most of Billy’s lures were made from Cedar and had large plastic Teddy Bear eyes. His painting of his lures were done with air brush and paint masks.
Snook Deceiver #403
Packaging was a simple zip lock bag with the brochure and card and later a bag with the card for each lure model.
